Grief therapy: A supportive, non-judgmental exploration of intense emotions, using Worden's 4 Task model as a compass for navigating, and normalizing the painful process of grieving that children and adults experience.

Depth psychotherapy: An exploration of unconscious thoughts and emotions brought into awareness through dreamwork, imagery and introspection in order to facilitate insight, understanding and positive change.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT): Explores and reframes thought processes, patterns and core beliefs that may be negatively impacting behavior.

Mindfullness: A practice that facilitates stress and anxiety reduction, encourages thoughtfulness and a somatic, whole mind/body well-being through a focused, non-judgmental "here-and-now" awareness.

Sand tray: Facilitates non-verbal and verbal storytelling to elicit images, expression of unconscious and conscious thoughts, feelings and emotions. Patients choose figurines and/or symbols, and arrange them in dry, kinetic, and/or wet sand to retell experiences. Both children and adults benefit from imaginative and symbolic "play" with sand.

Art activities:Creative expression of unconscious and conscious thoughts, feelings and emotions using art materials such as clay, coloring tools, paint, and found objects.

Tactile and flow: These activities involve a tactile experience with textiles and/or handwork to promote expression of thoughts and emotions, and feelings. Patients often bring in knitting, crochet, needlepoint and/or hand quilting projects to facilitate a state of mindfulness, calm and sense of well-being. The therapeutic use of textiles can be extremely beneficial for patients who are experiencing significant anxiety, grief and/or processing trauma.

My Fees

Fees:

Psychotherapy can be cost prohibitive for some patients. Therefore, I maintain a limited amount of space for patients needing to utilize a reduced fee. Sliding scale fees are agreed upon prior to the first appointment.

Visa, MasterCard and Amex are kept on file; however, cash and checks are preferred methods of payment.

I am not an insurance provider, but will be happy to provide patients a superbill at the end of each month to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Patients are responsible for carrier's limitations.
